Civilization

Is anyone else here a Civilization fan? I played III and IV quite a bit a few years ago, but I haven't had a chance to play it in a while. I think the game is really good though and I am eagerly anticipating the announcement of Civ 5.

For those who haven't heard of it, Civilization is a franchise made by Sid Meier, which has had quite a strong fanbase. It has been around for a really long time, starting with the original Civilization back in the early 90s. If you are interested in realistic, strategy/simulation games, it is definitely something you should check out.

Ah I remember Civilization well. I can't remember which sequel I played, just that it was a long time ago near the beginning of the millennium. It use to be one of my favourite games before I discovered the world of online gaming. It also lead to me buying games like Total War,

I am guessing you played 3 since it was the early 2000s. That is the first one I played as well and 4 has a great online system too, so it is no longer just an offline game. Never really got into Total War myself, I was more of a Civilization and AOE guy.
